#SCOM #Kemp MP revised

Just to let you know I revised the Kemp LoadMaster management pack for System Center Operations Manager 2012 R2.
The new version ( implements the following:

  • new repository on GitHub feel free to contribute
  • now all the discovered entities report the Kemp LM device name to get rid of the way SCOM identifies network devices using the mac address
  • added TPS performance collection, an important metric to measure the device usage. Both total and SSL TPS are collected, based on licensing the device has a maximum TPS limit
  • added a property to identify the clustering role of every single node
  • new SquaredUp dashboard

Due to the fact that now Kemp LM devices have a REST interface I anticipate this is going to be the last version of the SNMP based MP. Any new development (if there will be new developments) will be targeted to the new interface. Also I’m investigating what can be achieved in terms of OMS monitoring.

You can find the management pack on GitHub and on TechNet Gallery

Hi Daniele, Can this KEMP MP work with SCOM 2012 SP1? I am trying to install the MP but its failing for dependencies Microsoft.systemcenter.visualization.component.library with version 7.1.10226.1037 and many others. Can you please confirm if it works for SCOM 2012 SP1 UR 10?

Hi Sameer, honestly I developed it for 2012R2, it works on 2016, but I fear it doesn’t on 2012. In any case I never tested it on 2012.

Would you mind sharing the Visual Studio Project? :-)

Tried earlier to “rebuild” your Kemp MP to fit Loadbalancer.org (similar device) but did’nt succeed. I could give it another shot with VS since its easier and more structured then exporting your MP to XML and editing.

on GitHub you can find the complete VS solution, the only missing part is the sign key (obviously). It would be great if once your MP is completed you share it with the community.
