New release for the Microsoft Azure Recovery Services (MARS), now at version 2.0.9052.0
The latest version of the Microsoft Azure Recovery Services agent is 2.0.9052.0.
Sync Error Reports in #AzureAD Connect Health are now in Public Preview!
Azure (not all services) is now CSA STAR Gold certified.
I want to add a few more features for the new MARS agent release (summary from original post)
Retention of deleted backup data
Azure Backup can now be configured to keep for 14 days from the day of deletion any backup data that is deleted because of adversarial attacks. This makes it easier to recover your data after an attack.
Minimum retention range
Minimum retention range checks make sure that more than one recovery point is available to recover from after an attack.
Azure Portal-based authentication
Azure Backup can now be configured to request Azure Portal-based authentication for important operations that affect backup and recovery of your organization’s data.
Online and automatic backup speed improvements
We have made significant improvements in the overall efficiency and performance of the encryption and compression layers of Azure Backup. This reduces the overall duration of MARS Agent backups. After you install this update, you should see marked improvements in Backup speeds compared to earlier versions.
