Azure

Azure CLI 2.0 is now Generally Available for acs, vm, storage and network command modules.

Azure HDInsight 3.6 has entered public preview. You can try all the features available in the open-source release of Apache Spark 2.1, along with the rich experience of using notebooks on Azure HDInsight

WebJobs SDK 2.0 released

Azure stack TP3 available to test it should be the last preview version before GA. The licnesing model has been officially announced with no surprises: the customer buy the hardware solution form a vendor and pays Microsoft based on actual consumption like on Azure or by number of cores.

AAD Connect Health simplifies licensing. Basically if you already have SCOM you can monitor just the AAD Connect machine with 60€/year. I mean SCOM will take care of ADFS and DCs.

The world of IoT at large is really intriguing with the public cloud opening plenty of opportunities. Azure has announced real-time Geospatial Analytics in Azure Stream Analytics. OMS

The Public Preview of the Azure Site Recovery Deployment Planner has been announced, currently it just supports VMWare to Azure scenario. This tool that helps enterprise customers to understand their on-premises networking requirements, Microsoft Azure compute and storage requirements for successful ASR replication, and test failover or failover of their applications.

A new interesting community based solution for OMS OMS – Azure Storage Analytics Solution

Public preview: Instant file recovery from the cloud by using Azure Backup.

System Center

Microsoft Remote Desktop Services Management Pack for System Center 2016 has been released.

Update rollup for System Center Configuration Manager current branch, version 1610 among other things fixes an issue with Windows 10 Anniversary Edition updates.

UR2 for System Center 2016 DPM finally released:

    Azure CLI 2.0 link above is incorrect, it’s pointing to the WebJobs 2.0 repo.
