#Azure and #MSOMS notable updates week 20/17

A critical update Update 0.5 was released for Microsoft Azure StorSimple Virtual Array. On June 30, 2017, Microsoft will retire storage usage monitoring for StorSimple Virtual Device Series for virtual arrays that are running Update 0.4 or earlier.

Windows Server Container orchestration with Azure Service Fabric has been announced.

Azure IoT Suite adds physical IoT device/gateway tutorials

Azure powershell 4.0 has been released. WARNING it contains breaking changes. I wonder when they will learn to release module that don’t break existing code.

Hyper-v nested virtualization is coming to Azure. This is driven by Hyperv containers on VM on Azure, but it’s a great bonus for labs as well. Now you can have a virtual Hyper-v on Azure. Well at least when DV3 and Ev3 VM sizes will be officially released. In the meantime you can use Service Fabric to have hyper-v containers.

Finally we can upgrade classic Backup Vaults to ARM
