#Azure and #MSOMS notable updates week 09/18

Microsoft launches Azure Advanced Threat Protection (Azure ATP) a cloud-based security solution that helps you detect and investigate security incidents across your networks. It collects data from your systems and applies “intelligence” to detect unexpected behavior. Now it is time for MIcrosoft to bring some order in its security offer, too many products, too many overlaps. It is starting to be like the monitoring offer… Anyway Azure ATP is interesting and worth a look, even as far as I understand it just addresses Windows systems.

Azure Migrate is now GA. For those who missed it Azure Migrate is a tool that helps migrate your workload to Azure. It enables discovery of VMware-virtualized Windows and Linux VMs today and will enable discovery of Hyper-V environments in the future.

You can now extract data from your StorSimple data and save it natively on Azure Blobs or Files with StorSimple Data Manager.

B-series VM are now available for Azure Container Service (AKS).

Azure Service Bus is now able to send events to Azure Event Grid.

Azure Standard Load Balancer SNAT wrap up.

Application consistent backup for Linux VMs by using Azure Backup is now GA.
