Powershell 7.0 is finally GA, this is a great step forward and the new baseline for any powershell developmemnt. Azure Database for MariaDB, MySQL and PostgreSQL are adding maintenance notifications. You can use this feature to receive alerts for upcoming planned maintenance to your Azure Database of choice. View all planned maintenance for the services in your subscription in one place, and set up service health alerts to notify you up to 72 hours in advance when there are issues or changes that may affect the Azure services and regions you use.
Data Factory enriches the tools set for data transformations adding flattening for arrays inside a hierarchical data structures like JSON and single-row lookups with which you can select first, last, or any individual row matches.
Azure VM Scale Sets (VMSS) adds thre new scale-in/out features:
- custom scale-in policies to let you specify the order in which virtual machines are deleted
- instance protection that as the name implies protects specific instances from automatic scale operations
- terminate notifications that let’s you take control of the deletion action
Also VMSS adds automatic instance repair.
Azure Backup reports are now in preview, the revised solution now leverages Azure Monitor Workbooks.
Azure compute moves into GA the following families:
